Things to do

The glorious Shropshire Hills are delightful at any time of the year, there are so many things to do near the Shropshire Bed and Breakfast, and not too far afield either.

Here are just a few of them:

Ironbridge, Telford

The worlds first iron bridge built in 1779 and still stands testament to is industry.  Ironbridge has 10 astonishing ‘hands-on’, world class museum’s to celebrate those early pioneers, including; Blists Hill Victorian Town where performers offer a living, breathing insight into life in Victorian Shropshire and the Enginuity museum where you can play with an incredible collection of interactive machinery and a vast array of activities including testing your speed and accuracy against a robot.

Acton Scott Working Farm, Church Stretton

Visitors to the popular family attraction are transported back in time to the days of shire horses, hay ricks and milkmaids. The farm allows visitors to mingle with their favourite animals and also view daily demonstrations. You’ll see heavy horses working the land with vintage farm machines and everyday there are different demonstrations from the resident wheelwright, bodger, blacksmith or dairy maid.

Severn Valley Railway, Kidderminster

The Severn Valley Railway operates mainly steam-hauled passenger trains between Bridgnorth, Bewdley and Kidderminster, a journey of about 16 miles, along the beautiful Severn Valley. A great way to see the beauty of the River Severn and Shropshire countryside on a steam-hauled train.
